eXtreme sysTem reQuirements

Why do products like this include computer requirements? This is a CABLE MODEM. It doesn't even have to connect to a computer. And what is a "90496" anyway? Oh shoot -- it works with a Macintosh, but only Power PC.

Is this supposed to be helpful?
